MARRAKECH – OURIKA VALLEY – MARRAKECH
As we depart from Marrakech en route to the Ourika Valley waterfalls, the initial leg of our journey unveils lush green hillsides, charming Berber villages, and undulating landscapes. Throughout this stretch, you'll encounter meandering rivers that gracefully wind their way through the valley, offering ample opportunities to capture breathtaking landscape photographs.
Pausing at traditional Berber villages, we'll afford you the chance to immerse yourself in the daily lives of these local communities. Our journey further leads us into the more mountainous terrain of the Atlas range, as we head towards Setti Fatma. This route is adorned with an array of waterfalls, ranging in size, some of which remain unspoiled by heavy tourist presence.
For this leg of the journey, it's advisable to equip yourself with hiking boots. We'll embark on a brief trail leading to the Setti Fatma Cascades, where you'll have the chance to take a refreshing dip in the small pools formed at the base of the falls. Don't forget to bring swimwear and sunblock to make the most of this opportunity.
As we venture closer to the falls, be prepared for some refreshing back spray. Bringing along a change of clothes is recommended. Additionally, pack warm clothing, as the final part of our journey takes us to the communal society town of Sti Fadma, where temperatures can be surprisingly cool, even during summer.
Though it's advisable to pack a lunch, cafes and restaurants can be found in some of the Berber villages we'll visit during our day trip. However, the most essential item to bring is your camera, as this extraordinary experience is one you'll undoubtedly wish to capture.
After our hike to Setti Fatma waterfalls, we'll retrace our path back to Marrakech. Anticipate returning to the city by approximately 5:00 pm, concluding a day filled with remarkable sights and memorable experiences.
