Day 1

MARRAKECH – AIT BEN HADDOU – ZAGORA

Our journey commences from Marrakech at 8 am. Our first destination on the Marrakech to Fes Morocco Desert Trip is the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. To reach this site, we'll traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the towering Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260 m above sea level), offering panoramic views of Berber villages scattered along the mountain foothills.

After exploring Ait Benhaddou, our next stop is Ouarzazate, known as the African Hollywood. Following a visit to this iconic location, we'll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Post-lunch, our journey continues through the Draa Valley, home to the country's largest palm plantation. The road winds alongside pockets of lush greenery until we reach the desert town of Zagora.

Zagora marks the launch point of our camel trek into the desert dunes. Our destination: the Berber camp. Here, a revitalizing cup of mint tea and a hearty dinner await before we retire to our cozy tents for the night.

Day 2 

ZAGORA – DADES GORGE – DADES VALLEY

The following day, following your breakfast at the Zagora desert camp, we will retrace our steps by camel trek to meet your driver. Our journey begins as we head back to Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Real Desert. Here, you'll enjoy a satisfying lunch at a local café.

Subsequently, we will transition from our adventure vehicle to explore the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley. The route features winding roads, accompanied by steep, golden cliffs. During our journey, we'll pause to capture photographs of the Monkey Fingers rock formation. Continuing onward, we'll traverse the heart of the valley alongside the river.

We will spend the evening at a hotel in this enchanting setting, where dinner and breakfast are included in your stay.

Day 3

DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGE – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DUNES

The following morning, after breakfast, our journey unfolds from the Dades Valley towards Todra Gorge. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore at your own pace the vast cliffs and canyons that grace the Todghra canyons. Following this exploration, we'll continue towards Rissani, renowned for hosting the largest date market in the nation. Historically, Rissani served as the launching point for trading caravans embarking on journeys across the Sahara desert.

Our route will then lead us directly to Merzouga. Upon arrival, we'll rendezvous with the awaiting camel caravan, initiating our camel trek into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes as the sun begins to set, creating a truly captivating scene. The camels will guide us to our desert camp, where we'll savor Moroccan mint tea and indulge in a flavorful local tajine. We are equipped to provide completely vegetarian tajines to accommodate individuals with specific dietary requirements. While we relish the food, Berber storytellers and musicians will regale us around the campfire. As the night approaches, we'll retire to our tents, furnished with full bedding for utmost comfort.

Day 4 

MERZOUGA DUNES - ERFOUD - MIDELT - AZROU - IFRANE - FES

We rise early to witness the captivating Sahara sunrise, then proceed to return to the hotel by camel. Following this, a hearty breakfast awaits at the hotel before we embark on our journey to Fes. Throughout the route, we'll make stops for photos and lunch, beginning with your initial pause in Azrou. Our journey then leads us to Ifrane, often hailed as "the Switzerland of Morocco," and ultimately to Fes.

This expedition offers glimpses of both the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains, along with a visit to the renowned cedar forest where the chance to observe Barbarian apes arises. Notable changes in the landscape will unfold before your eyes.

Upon reaching Fes, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or riad, marking the conclusion of your shared Marrakech to Fes desert tour.
